I am Brianna Rose Lengel, an aspiring children’s book author and illustrator.

Storytelling has become a guiding force in my life. To me, it’s an unparalleled way of teaching the morals I have acquired through finding love within after hardship and self-inquiry. Prioritizing myself and my art has brought so much joy, I am grateful to be a part of the Children’s Book community.

I grew up in Alameda, CA, and now live in Portland with my four kitties, Tati, Cookie, Ginger, and Foxi. I graduated from Mills College in 2004 with a degree focused on painting. Simultaneously, I coached a youth mural program that made positive change in the community. I have professional experience with screen-printing and have been working as a graphic designer for 14 years. Both have greatly influenced my illustration style.

I am a SCBWI member and have been a part of Storyteller Academy for three years.
